I just had the high speed satellite internet service hooked up last Friday and everything seemed to be fine. Then the storm blew thru and knocked something out. Don't know what or how, but it seems to have healed itself tonight. Anyway, I really needed some support the last several days. Wednesday Mom had chemo. Thursday (in the midst of the storm) I had to take Daisy in for her appt for spaying. There I was on Thursday. Mom stayed in bed, Daisy was gone, hubby at work and NO INTERNET!! Of all times.... I really needed to take my mind off lil Daisy.

Things went good though. Got her home on Friday morning. Mom still not feeling well, so I was nursemaid to them both. Daisy didn't show any signs of hurting or anything. It's been quite a while since I had anything spayed, but I was surprised by how small her incision was. Not much over an inch long. They pulled 2 of her baby teeth that were left. I didn't know anything about that, until I read a post on this site, so I wasn't concerned about it.

She's really doing well today, wanting to play and all. Trying to keep her as quiet as I can. Mom's appetite has come back some. Today's her 86th birthday. I didn't have a cake because she wasn't eating after chemo, but she really loves apple dumplings, so that's what she had for supper tonight. I think all in all she had a nice birthday. Having Daisy back home helped her a lot too. She really loves the little rat!

I guess all my qualms have been answered, so I really appreciate y'all just being here, even though I couldn't get through.

Oh you poor thing!! Glad that all turned out well. And a big happy birthday for your mom. Apple dumplings are one of my favorites too.... she has great taste!!!

I see you live in Ethel, LA. I am in Lafayette, LA and that was some wild weather huh? How bad was it there? We had tornados here. Riped up downtown Lafayette pretty bad.

I was going to ask the same thing about the weather. That was some bad stuff.

I think we must have been just north of the worst of it. It rained quite a bit just to our south and winds enough to blow roofs and trees down just to our east. I think we were very fortunate on this one! Glad things weren't too bad for you too!

We have internet via cable but we also have satellite TV (long story). When the weather gets really dark, the satellite signal gets screwed up. Clears up when the weather moderates.

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK!
