Okay, here are some resizing tips. I'll give you a couple ways to do it.
Open your microsoft Paint application, and then open the photo you want to edit. Then go to the resize/skew option, and shrink the picture until it fits in roughly about a quater of you screen. Then save it as a .jpg file (make sure its lowercase). Then go into the photo section of the board, and scroll to the bottom of your message and you will see 3 slots to post pics. Hit browse, find the one (s) you want to put in you post and press submit. If it still says your file is too big, just go to paint and make it a bit smaller (hint: I usually resize my pics to about 20% of the original).
The next tip is a little more involved, but it allows you to post pictures in any forum on the board.
Go to www.photobucket.com and set up an account if you don't already have one. Its free and east to use. Upload your pictures onto the photobucket account. Once you have your account established and pictures uploaded, you can edit you photos. Just hit resize and you can pick the size, the largest one works well, with sizing techniques. Once your picture is done, you will see all kinds of links under the picture. Highlight the one labeled " direct link" and copy it. next, go to your post on r-t.com (you cannot be in quick reply) Next hit the button on the message toolbar that looks like 2 mountains and a moon. Paste your picture link on the space and press ok. Viola! you have a picture. There is no limit on the number you cab out in a post that way, and you can put pics in any forum. Hope this helps.
Oh, and if you want and avatar, use option one, and just resize your picture to a little bigger than a one inch box, and it should work. |
