Tonight after being at Doggy Day Care all day, this is how my two ratties felt!!

In the first photo, Taffy is on her back in the far right side of her crate with her head crammed into the padding by the door. I could hear her snoring but it took a moment to find her in the crate and to figure out which end was which!!

Just as I took her pic, Mom called me to quietly come into the living room to see Aka.

He was so tired that he just slid part way off his pink pillow that he sits on for mom to scratch his ears. She said he just sat there nodding till he just sort of puddled down on the pillow!! Poor tired baby. I got two shots of him and he didn't move!!

Aloha,
Cheryl Wordweaver mom to Aka & Taffy

Donna,
Those are my mom's. She was sitting there scratching Aka behind his ears and said that he started nodding off and just sort of slid down and crashed!!
In the first photo of her and Aka, you can see she has a spot on her leg. That is the leg that had such a bad case of cellulitus. We had finally gotten the leg completely healed and she fell at a restaurant we went to last week. She didn't fall hard but she sort of skidded on the asphalt and tore a small chunk out of her leg.

Even the dogs have been checking it to make sure it is healing, which it is, thank goodness. I take her back to Chapel Hill this Thursday for another procedure on that leg. She had three stents put in about 3 months ago, I guess and sadly one place above one of the stents is trying to close back up. They will go through her femoral artery and "balloon" the closed in spot. That should take care of it. The doctor did say that she may continue to develope these stenosises (closing of the arteries) but we will cross that bridge if we have to later.

Aka is so cute, he loves that pink pillow and will stand in front of Mom looking at her until she puts the pillow down and then he swings around and sits with his back to her so she can scratch his ears, rub his back etc. They watch TV together that way and sometimes he leans against her right leg (the good leg) but never the left. They are so smart!

Aloha,
Cheryl Wordweaver mom to Aka & Taffy
