Rocky makes regular visits to the dog park. As most doggie parents do we bring water with us. Instead of bringing a jug of water and a little bowl, I've found it to be very convenient to use a water jug for people. The one we use is similar to the one here http://www.amazon.com/IGLOO-11029-ELITE-COOLER-GALLON/dp/B000PE8X8W . We just fill it up, put the top on, and it has a handle to carry. When we get to the park, we just put it on the ground and take the top off...instant dog bowl. It is also nice that it holds a lot of water so he can share with his friends.

That is a great idea!!!  I'll have to get one for Ivy and her pals at the baseball field it seems I am the only one to bring water!!!

Do you cut the top? How do you get it to stay on?? This is a great idea but I can't figure what  you mean exactly??

looks like it has a screw off top to fill it up so you just unscrew to let them drink and put it back on to carry!!!!

That's a terrific idea.  I'm going to check for one at my local stores.  I've already made this week's amazon.com order.

The top screws on and off...on for travel so it doesn't spill all over... and off for instant dog bowl. I think you can find similar jugs at places like WalMart, Target, etc as well. I think they are usually with the camping stuff near the coolers.
