My friend at work got me started doing this last year and it has been such a hit I thought I would share since the 4th is right around the corner......

Patriotic 4th of July Cake

1 Angel Food Cake Mix

once mixed as directed with just water......divide batter into three bowls.....leave 1/3 white, tint 1/3 blue and the other 1/3 red with food coloring.....

In your angel food cake pan.....layer the colors in and bake as directed.  Once done and you pull from oven, use a butter knife to loosen the cake from the pan and turn over onto a cooling rack.  It will be layered red, white and blue!  Serve with fresh sliced strawberries and whipped cream, ice cream or cool whip.

Always a hit when I take it to a bbq.  Also, this works great as well for Easter.....I have done pastel colors......even did this for my daughter's birthday last year....   Way easy!

Hope you like it!!  Your kiddos will love it too!

Lynn
