Hi I am posting this here because I would like to show you guys a pic of Baileys skin.  I have recently changed his dog food.  He has always been on Science Diet but I wanted to change him to something natural.  So now he is on Canidae.  I have had no problems with the switch except the first couple of days he had a upset stomach...i mixed his old food with his new food like i was supposed to but his tummy still was supset.  Everything has been going well excepts the past few days I have noticed that his skin is more of a pink color.  I may be going crazy but before his skin was more white/pink.  Well in areas mainly under his neck it is pink and irriatated.  He hasnt been on a leash and I havent changed anything else but the food.  Do you think it could be the food??  It may have nothing to do with the food at all I just was wondering.  I am taking Sydney and Chance to the vet tomm so Bailey might be going with me   Thanks guys

Here are a few pics hopefully u can see the spots

i dont really know any advice to give. Toa's skin looks pink under his white fur. The places where the mange got bad lose hair and are very itchy. Does he seem to be itchy? hmmm...im not sure, you may want to take him to the vet for them to just look...will they charge you an exam fee? LOL

Has he been outside in like tall grass? Sometimes grass blade will irratate, or maybe bites? Just looks a little irratated not so much like a reaction. Most likely if its just in that one spot. Keep an eye on it and if hair starts to fall out or if he can't stop itching or if it spreads then take em to the vets. Good luck and as always keep us posted.

If he's been outside much in the hot sun, he may have gotten sunburned. I wouldn't think it would have caused irritation on his neck though. I'd take him in when you take the pups in to be checked, just to be on the safe side.

I love how you love Baily!  Murphy's skin is kinda pink too... unless you see a rash or the dog is scratching/itching, I'd say let it be and keep an eye on it.

maybe the pups are picking on poor ol' dad...my ratties always grab the loose skin on the dobies neck when they want to play with her...little rascals.

if Bailey doesn't seem worried about it (itching), then it's probably nothing, just keep an eye on it

Bailey's skin is very pink also... from the pics you posted, Bailey's skin looks fine to me! (and you definitely have switched to a better quality food)
