Can you please tell me how much you are feeding your Ratties, and how many times a day? I am absolutely confusing myself with simple math like a dummy! Up until yesterday I was feeding both raw and kibble (wellness orijen and evo rotation) Together but was told this was incorrect. Now I have decided to just feed the Natures Variety  Raw Medallions. Here are my Rattie's Stats

Lola -1.2 year old female High energy 11.5lbs

Winston -1.11 Year old Male High Energy 11.7lbs

I feed NV raw -- will never feed anything else ever again...
Bailey (rat terrier) - 9.5 lbs and HIGH energy ... 3/4 pattie once a day (Bailey does agility and I have a hard time keeping weight on him, so he gets more than my other dogs)
Hoss 12-yr. old doxie -- 11 lbs, and low energy - 1/3 pattie once a day
Lil'Bit 8-1/2 yr old doxie- 8 lbs, medium energy level - 1/3 pattie once a day
Buster almost 9 years of age (pound puppy), 13 lbs - 1/2 pattie once a day

I've never fed the medallions. I feed the raw patties (look like hamburger patties).
So sorry... I can't help you with that. Does it say on the package how much to feed, etc?

I would start with 5 and see how they do. If they maintain their weight with 5 that's where I would keep it. If they start to lose weight, I'd up it to 6.

Hmm I found this on the NV site- My dogs never ever had a gas problem or anything and if they say its ok... do you still think its a no go?

If I feed my pet a mixture of Nature’s Variety Raw Frozen Diets and kibble at the same meal, should I be concerned about the different rate of digestion?
It’s important for pet parents to feel comfortable with their feeding process. We believe customers need not be concerned about mixing raw and kibble at the same meal. Raw is like canned food in terms of moisture content and rates of digestion; people routinely combine canned and kibble diets with no digestive upset or stomach emptying issues.  There is no scientific evidence that combining kibble and raw food causes the raw foods to be digested at a slower rate. (Remember, when you feed any new food to your pet for the first time, it is best to transition slowly. Mix increasing amounts of your pet’s new food with decreasing amounts of the previous food over a 7 to 14 day period.)
