How about Ruby? i heard that for a song tonite.
How did you come about getting her? i missed that somewhere.
You might try just letting her relax and chill on her own and just talking to her. Maybe let her come to you for petting. Till she gets used to her new surroundings some.
Play it by ear and see what she tells you. Make it open for her to come to you but don't push her too hard.
She's a beauty!

it will take a few days for her to settle down. She must be confused since she's not with her former family. Just be patient and love her. She'll come around.

I had to come back and look at your little girl. In that first picture she has the rattie head tilt!!! So cute. Names, well Tilly popped in to my head I'll have to think of some more but she must be so confused. Where is my family. Just take it easy with her and have plenty of treats with you so she will want to be near you!! Just little bits at a time so she has to keep coming back for more!!

Well, Peanut is just so cute! Love all her ticking! I think she is in shock from being in a new environment.....be patient and I bet in a day or so she'll be running all over the place and you'll wonder what happened to this shy little pup you brought home a few days ago! Good luck!

I think the Dog Whisperer would say take her for a walk. That is his answer to everything. Am I the only person that watches the Dog Whisper?

Just make yourself available to her for comfort - I usually sit on the floor. And quiet is good. With lots of treats, Ripley wants to add. *nodnod*

Names...She kinda reminds me of a dog I had years ago who had ticking all over like that. A friend jokingly said, because of all the "freckles," she reminded him of Jadzea Dax (of Star Trek, Deep Space 9, for those non-geeks among us). The dog became Jaddax from that day, Jad for short.

"Peanut" is gorgeous. Makes me want to cuddle her and make that look go away.

Oh YAY! She's so pretty! She looks SO much like Murphy. "No touch, no talk, no eye contact." As per Cesar Milan. Definitely walk her. Sit near her with your back to her. She'll come around. As for the name, that will come to.

What a precious girl! Like everyone has said, take it slow and easy with her until she gets used to you. Speak to her calmly and let her approach you. Have treats on you at all times and give her lots of calm "good girls" when she comes near you.

How old is she?  If you decide to rename her you'll have to use her name every time you speak to her so that she'll learn it.  She is so cute....love her ticking.  Do you like girly names like Lily, Emma, etc?  I like picking unusual names like August (the month you got her) or Tuesday (or whatever day you got her) or something that has to do with something favorite of yours like a band or ball team, etc.  How 'bout Penny....'cause she's a lucky Penny to have found you?  Okay, that's kinda dorky.  I know.

Anyways, shame on her previous owners for being so selfish and not raising her with love.  I know with enough love, attention and patience you two will bond.  Keep us updated and post lots of pictures.

Well, you could call her Amosina, be cause she looks just like him to me!!!
I think Cheyanne would be a good name. For some reason I'm wanting to call her Anna. Shy Anna. Cheyanne. I don't think I've got it spelled right, but you get what I'm getting at right? Take your time and let her come to you. She'll get ready for treats or food and she'll come to you.
