Thanks everybody!!! I absolutely love rat terriers!
My husband and I also have an 8 year old Beagle (Casey) and a rescued rat terrier named Loki, but Comet is the boss (and my baby). He loves playing fetch..over and over and over and.... He also loves playing in water: lakes, rivers, puddles, bathtubs.
Our beagle was like a mom to him when he first came home, then about 6 months later he decided he didn't need a surrogate mom anymore and began tugging on her long, floppy ears. Now the only time he cuddles with her is when her epilepsy kicks in and she has a seizure. He doesn't know what's going on, but he stays by her side.
Loki is now happy and healty. He is no longer skittish of us. When we first brought him home he had been starved and abused. It took awhile, but he accepted the other dogs and since they accepted us he decided he would too. Now he is a snuggle bum. At night he insists on sleeping between my husband's and my heads while Comet sleeps curled against my belly.
That's all I have for now. Its nice to meet everyone! |

| aaww, that's so sweet that Comet snuggles with your beagle when she has a seizure. my girls always got so worried when my dobie mix had a seizure, but they stayed away until it passed and then loved on him. |
