Now you really didn't think I would "not" take pictures during all this did you????

This is during the early morning travel while all interstate highways are north bound only: Speed limits were anywheres from 0 mph to 6 mph for a few hours. Took us almost two hours to travel 26 miles. We had this kind of travel from 8:00am to about 11:00am.

This is what it was like when we needed to stop for gas, restrooms and food:

LSU played a game yesterday and won so we saw some LSU fans that looked like they started their hurricane party a little early... LOL They were on an overpass that was closed due to the evacuation.

And this was just a typical thing that you would see every so often, but I was very impressed with the amount of tow trucks and rescue type vehicles that were all over these pass ways and most of the vehicles that were stranded on the side of the road "already" had help.

I plan to take tons of pictures on our adventure home. I will share them with you all but unfortunately you guys will have to wait until we get back online.

wow! I had heard that they were going to use all lanes to get everyone out, but this is the first time I saw pics of it. I can't even begin to imagine what that was like. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing.  I wish our gas was $3.58....so far the cheapest is $3.61 and that's great b/c it's been $3.70 something & $3.80 something for a while....it's just now going down.
