Never even heard of it, but looked it up.  5 reviews, with an average of 4.5... seems recommended by the folks who post on 1800petmeds.

Never heard of it either but I know Benedryl is safe...of course with my dogs it doesn't slow them at all.
For myself I just drink a glass of wine! LOL

I've used it on my dogs...just got another bottle yesterday, in fact. It doesn't knock my dogs out like a rx from the vet would, just calms them down enough to where loud noises don't bother them too much. It worked pretty good for the fireworks last night (given about 45 min. before the shows were supposed to start)...they did bark and got a little worried when they heard the first few booms, but I got them in the bedroom, where you could barely hear the fireworks, and they settled down imediately. If it weren't for the Quiet Moments, it would have been at least an hour, if not longer, before Molly settled down, but she gave up the second I got her in the bedroom.

benedryl is 1 mg per lb...if your rattie is 16 lbs, then he gets 16 mg of benedryl
