for a house to feel so empty with no rat terriers in it? yesterday Taffy and Aka spent the day at the Barking Lot for grooming and just to play a while. Mom and I had a couple of appointments in the morning but the afternoon we were home.

Now Aka and Taffy aren't really noisy but without them in the house it was so quiet and dull and lonely. Both Mom and I felt it!! As soon as I went to get them and got them in the house, it felt whole again!!

Aren't they amazing little rascals?

I know what you mean...last Sunday when Lucy was at the e-vet (foxtail, she's fine now) for a few hours, the house felt so empty, even though Molly and Rosie were still there...they were upset that Lucy was missing too. Once she came home, it felt normal/whole again.

Yea... on the rare nights we are pupless (like when we boarded them the day before we leave on a trip), my wife and I are out of sorts... we open the door and call the dogs... we put food down... then we remember, no pups.  And we're sad.

So nice to have pups around the place.

Cheryl, I learned years ago that if you're "dog people" the house is always empty without them.

I know how you feel.  When our last rat terrier died I kept looking behind me for her because she would always be with me.  When she wasnt there it felt so empty and wrong.  Even though I knew she was gone sometimes I'd swear I heard her at the back door scratching to go out.  It was loney and sad....then we got Lacey, now Jack and our house if very full.

I went home to my mom's for a couple days and I left the pups with Ricky. I missed them sooo much and I was only away for like 72 hours. Its amazing how much they worm into your hearts.

I know what it is like. When Sydney was in the hospital for all tose days, even though Sonic was home, I still missed my sweet baby.
