I dressed up as a wide-mouth bass and went to different clinics within the health system where I worked. Yes. I had gone to college for this. Now I'm working at a daycare changing dirty pants of 2 year old kids. The other day I was reading a book to one of the little guys and turned the page to find one of the babes had thrown up in it. I would rather be cleaning public restrooms.

Guess I have had a pretty boring emplyment.  Cant think of anything really werd.  Worked in a platic factory when I was first divorced from my first husband because the pay was good.  Work was word ovens were very hot.  Baked liguid vinyl plastic into stethescope tubing in my department other department made plastic covering onplayground equipment.  Anyway, bad part was, we had a rodent problem so we had a couple of "pet" factory cats.  On Friday's second shift the ovens were shut down and the doors were open== Sunday night the ovens were started up and the door automatic shut.  Now for the bad part--(expecially for me being a cat lover as well as a doglover( when we came to work Monday morning we were informed that we were one cat short.   They could not find the second cat.  I pray to this day that it got outside on Friday night but the ovens also were so hot one would never know.  The other cat went home with me that afternoon!!

EEK!

OMG Kasey'smom! I was born and raised in Indiana (in fact, I live there now). I detassled corn one summer for DeKalb. That was a pretty popular summertime job for teenagers back then (WAAAAYYYY back then, LOL)

DEKALB!! Oh man, I went to undergrad there!! Corn is basically what DeKalb is all about! I'm pretty sure teenagers still are detassliing!

I've pretty much been spared odd jobs, but growing up as 1 of 5 children I definitely had chores I thought were obscene!

I still go thru DeKalb county all the time to go to the lake in Hamilton....   does that place ring the bell for you?

I am sure they farmers still have the kids detasseling the corn.  once in a while i would see a bus... taking these kids to various of fields...  I don't miss that... it was an easy job.... but not for a 35 yr. old.

Wierd job???? I'm a hairdresser. 'nough said. You should see the stuff I deal with! And they wonder why I drink........ I mean think about I have to touch strangers all day, everyday. Most are o.k. I even like most of them. However, once in a while....one will come in........ and I wish I'd have gone to law school like my grandma wanted. At least then I wouldn't have to touch my clients!!

No not really.... I grew in DuPage county so I basically just traveled east to west or west to east depending on where I was going.
Actually my grandparents are still in DeKalb county, my folks are working on moving them out closer to them though.
