Foods (Especially Corn and syrup filled) and over vaccinating...sure can exacerbate "allergies"...esp skin allergies.
What I noticed (NOT allegy-related) is that Ratties (seems most? Including some Fosters I've had here, and my two anyway) have NO "doggie" odor..not even a little and not even when damp or wet??? And believe me...that is a GREAT perk of having a Rattie!
BUT..their feet smell like stale Fritos! |

| Ditto, my two girls thankfully have no allergy symptoms, and don't have any odor (unless they find something to roll in) even when wet. But those tootsie do smell like Fritos! |

Am I the only one smelling puppy tootsies? Blue's do not smell like Fritos. The don't really smell like anything. Blue is looking at me like, "Why are you doing that?"

Venus' paws smell like Fritos. She has been on antibiotics so I have been giving her probiotics to address any possible yeast issues and help her flora. The rest of her smells like clothes hung dry from her being outside playing. |

Glad your girls have no allergies. Now my labmix does have stinky paws, but is suspected to have mild eye allergies which have not yet been labeled.

I'd say you are in good company of dog owners smelling their puppies tootsies. So Blue does not have Frito paw syndrome. Sound like a rattie research project in the making.

I just listen to the clip and it was very interesting on how you should change your dogs food every 3 months to prevent food allergies. Who would of thought.

If Blue has been outside playing for a while, he does smell like, well, a dog. There are times that he does smell a little sweaty, too. Either way, it goes away pretty quickly.
Blue smells "purty" most of the time. |
