I know gas prices are high but if anyone can help with this transport - it would be so appreciated! The pregnant dog looks ready to pop at any time and needs to get to her new foster home quickly.

If the ratty could meet me in Trussville Alabama I could take her to Oxford. I just don't drive past Trussville by myself.  I would love to help so let me know if this would be possible.

Pami,

I just sent you an email.  I am trying to minimize the transfer time so if someone is able to take all of leg one I will need to go with that one, but your offer is great!  Thanks much!

I hope this fills - I almost spoke up for this mama myself but she's going somewhere much closer which is better. She needs to get to her foster home before those babies pop out - much less danger all around that way.

I am in Ohio but if it's okay to cross post I can put this out of some of the Russell Rescue people around and see if anyone is in that area that can volunteer??

Yes Val - we almost always cross-post for transport help! A lot of the people who help us in transports aren't even rattie people. Then we try to help them out with transports, too.

Aww Tracey thank you. I am just so happy to be able to help this pregnant mom and her unborn babies. I am thrilled actually. I hope the rest of the legs of the trip fill in soon. I haven't been on the site in quite some time and this morning I stopped in and that thread was the first and only thing that caught me eye. Can we say "meant to be?"

No need to worry about the squeezing.  She gave birth today.  I think 5 so far, but waiting for an update if there were more.  She did give birth in the shelter, but her temp foster mom has her now.

They are in a temp foster home and look good so far.  They are with a Ratbone foster mom so she is keeping her eyes on them.  They need to be transported to their long term foster home in Florida.
