Thursday Glembie was taken to a GA Animal Shelter because the owner did not have time for him.  He is just 10 months old and the shelter was full so his time was up before it ever started.  Hubby said we could squeeze one more in and went with me to get him today.

Glembie (a crazy Star Wars name - my husband names the fosters) is very sweet, energetic and outgoing.  He just wants to please his humans and have fun with his fur friends.  What more could you ask?  We are still learning about him, but no potty accidents and he has had access to the whole house today.  He learned almost right away what the dog door was for and met his new pack with ease.

Check him out at www.imageevent.com/smiles4life/glembie

I'll post more updates once we know what this little dude is all about.

Ivy - glad you like the name.  He is really too adorable to just let go.  I'm glad we could squeeze him in and he's doing great with the pack.  He likes a lot of attention and hasn't had one potty inside or a leg lift.  Glembie still has his equipment until Wednesday so I am glad he knows the difference between inside and outside leg lifting.

Di - when someone surrenders a dog to a shelter they don't have any wait time like stays do for someone to find them so they get death row tickets as they come in the door.  Thankfully one of our shelter surfers got word of him and let me know right away.

He is a pleasure to have around and I was sure to leave my cards and brochures to keep this from happening in the future.  I'd rather someone surrender to me or help them before getting in this icky situation.  Hopefully it also helps any who adopt Rat Terriers from there so they get support.

Hmmm you might have a point.  Our pack is so good right now I think he knew it would be okay from what we heard and then going there to meet him ourselves.

We've been fostering for 1 year and I think hubby is getting the hang of things and seeing the shelter and knowing he would die otherwise really hit home.

The TAIL!! OMG our first dog Otis had a curly tail like that. The curly tail adds so much character! This dog is gorgeous...why would someone dump him? Poor thing.
