IF I can ever figure out HOW to post the pics...durn durn! BUT....to share a beeyootiful rescue story for those who might enjoy???
This past week a VERY HIGH kill shelter in Jax, Fla (4 day kill!!!ARGH!) got in a Male, Female, & wittle Baby. A rescue or two briefly tried to take baby, leaving the Mom/Dad..shelter refused. SO..time was up for all three.
A Rattie Rescue (New Rattitude...thank you NR!!!) took all three hours before death...and, lo and behold, baby is BLIND! (May be why she was left?)
The Mom and Pop walk s-l-o-w-l-y everywhere so blind baby can keep up! The baby is gorgeous!!! White with a half ...tri face and white face like Phantom of the Opera! She and her parents too are stunning!
She is totally learning step by step with her parents how to get around.....she will be an awesome doggie with parents like that who teach her. Very patient too.
One of our Forumites has a blind Jack (Lucy) and I hope she can offer training advice for this cute baby...apparently it is a lot of voice-commands and the dog learns from words/commands..pretty neat!
Anyway..if I can somehow post her pics or UTube video you will see...how dogs adapt to anything!!!
Even wittle babies!
(She and her parents are incredible!!!!)
Cannot wait to see how she turns out!!! She is barely 8 wks, if that, and a pistol!
So..she is living testiment that dogs can do well no matter what their circumstances...with care and love. |

When posting a photo in the post you need to use the "Source" button. Type what you want, copy the " HTML" code from Photobucket, then return to your post, press the "Source" button. It will make your post look funny. Then place your cursor at the end of your written text(inside all the funny letters). Press enter to move the cursor down just a bit, then "paste" the "HTML" code.
This was the best advice I got to learn how to post pics. I am proud she has such loving parents. I hope they find a very special home!

It worked Mary Beth. That is so cute, and lovely pack. I didn't watch all of it. How touching and thank you NR!!!!!! Can you imagine putting those dogs down, OMG that would have been another sin. |

| Thank goodness NR came to the rescue. It would have been horrible if they had put those dogs down. Someday I'm sure the puppy can manage on her own, but now she needs her mom and dad to teach her. What a wonderful family core.... Very touching. Again, thanks New Rattitude! |

| oh my goodness, what a gorgeous family....they are soooo sweet looking!! do you think there is a chance someone would adopt them all together? it would be awfully sad to have the blind baby lose his mommy and daddy.... |

Karen,
I was just thinking the same thing.
It would be a crying shame to split the adult pair up. Perhaps someone could adopt the parents and foster the baby until she is ready to move to a forever home.
Thank you NR and good luck little family.

Wow! That is just amazing! To see those rattie parents intentionally slow their pace to allow the baby to follow along...another reason this breed is my favorite. Wish I could take them all...I hope there's a family out there who would consider keeping them together. |

Me too, but I already have 5 dogs. Only Blue is an indoor, though. Misty is only if someone is home.
