Nora's recent post about her friends' tragic loss of their dogs in a fire has served as a reminder that there are some things we can do to help protect our pets, though nothing can be 100%, being prepared can help.
Below are some links to sites with window decal stickers that will alert responding rescue personnel that there are pets inside the home. This will allow these responders to make every safe effort to get them out.
When searching, I also came across this helpful bit of information...one of the first places a firefighter will go is to the outside electrical box to cut the power to your home - this is a good place to put a sticker (in addition to others) as it will be seen early!
